A story that has distant origins
Tenuta Colombarola is an 18th century structure, initially established as a holiday home and later used for winemaking.
Today it produces wines of great value, which differ from the local offerings due to the originality of the grape varieties, all of French origin. The wonderful setting of the Piacenza hills – Loc. Trevozzo in Alta Val Tidone – surround the estate and make our production unique.
Our wines
From the vineyard to the winery.
The bunches are selected, collected and gently placed in wooden boxes to preserve intact their valuable natural characteristics. With the same care, the grapes are taken to the winery to start the crushing on the same day.
Our current production includes sparkling wines, white and red wines.
Estate
Tenuta Colombarola is a place rich in history, which has its roots back in the 18th century. The estate building, with exposed stone walls, stands on a small hill and overlooks its 30 hectares of flourishing vineyards.
A family tradition
Planting vines of French origin was an idea put forward by Vittorio Travini in 2014, when his love for the great French wines gave life to the production of Syrah, Marsanne, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The passion and love for the land, along with respect for tradition and spirit of innovation, have allowed the Travini family to continue a history of enthusiasm and initiative, resulting in the current production of excellent quality wines. We aim for our wines to become a real point of reference for the oenology of our territory and beyond.
Awards
Our wines have taken part in important international contests and received numerous prestigious awards and medals over the years.
Among the most significant ones, it is relevant to mention the medal for the best wine at the International Competition Syrah du Monde and the Grand Cordon d’Or award for professional merit and the promotion of quality products worldwide.
